Readers of this website have no doubt noticed the lack of new posts in recent weeks. I am very happy to report that this will soon change, and our readers can look forward to regular posts from a fresh voice.

Stephen Jasikoff, who is pursuing a Master’s degree in teaching Social Studies here at Teachers College, is the new blogger for the “Teaching The Levees” website. A native of upstate New York’s Finger Lakes Region, Steve graduated with honors in History from Middlebury College, where he also completed a minor in Political Science. Before his arrival at TC, Steve worked in politics and most recently spent two years as a high school history teacher.

I’ve had a wonderful time writing for this site for the past year, and look forward to reading Steve’s posts — and your comments — in the coming months. And don’t forget to join in our Discussion Board and post teaching ideas on the Share Your Lesson Plans link at right.
